This company developed software to connect stores hosted in big e-commerce platforms, such as Shopify and Bigcommerce, with a separate platform that allows them to offer purchase subscriptions to consumers within the big e-commerce spaces, increasing revenue streams.

Nowadays, many merchants want to have a subscription feature as part of their e-commerce business model as it helps them enjoy strong customer relationships, contributing to long-term success. Our client is specialized in creating the bridge between online stores and a leading subscription platform to implement this model.

We came to the project when the client's team was developing the 2nd version of their bridge software, supporting their dev and management teams as they were facing several challenges when it came to capacity planning and project execution: By analyzing our clients' daily productivity data and translating it into reports, we came to the conclusion that their dev team was complying with the velocity expected, but not following the delivery plan they had drawn before the start of the sprint โ€”they were actually focusing on urgent requests, which their metrics showed to be inefficient. Also, their methodology was not aligned with their current needs.

Based on this diagnostic, Vinolers developed a 90-day plan to improve the team's methodology and processes, maintaining a high work velocity, but making sure that delivery is in the right direction and aligned with the business interests. The change was successful and allowed the company to use their time more efficiently.
